Introduction

At the end of a busy day you get home to empty cupboards, hungry families, no energy and you're starving - it's too easy to make bad decisions on what to eat; takeaways and fast food seem an easy option.

                                      INTRODUCTION

I believe the art of food preparation has faded over the last 10 to 15 years with the introduction of quick and easy processed foods in supermarkets! The younger generations are missing out on what can be fun family time as well as learning opportunities which will help prepare them for a better and healthier future.

Cook along kids aims to teach children basic food and nutrition in a fun and exciting way.

As a father of two and a qualified and experienced chef of nearly 2 decades - who has had the honour of cooking for HRH Queen Elizabeth, I understand the challenges and joys of preparing food for my family. Many children today are unable to recognise traditional foods in their fresh, original form, where they come from and just how easily they can be transformed into wholesome and delicious meals.

Based upon  my experiences in professional kitchens and with my own two children, I have created the Cook Along Kids program to show them how easy it can be to use basic, fresh ingredients to prepare tasty meals for the whole family without it costing a fortune.
