Follow the program: STAGE 1

Each week Cook Along Kids will have a different food topic to work on with the children. At the end of the practical session we will play games in teams and use that weeks main ingredient as the focal point of interest.
Week 1: FRUIT & VEG
 This week we will supply a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables for the children to try. We will show them how to make fruit smoothies using fruit juices for a cool summer drink and milk as an alternative to breakfast cereals. Finishing up with fresh fruit salad to bring home for dinner.

Week 2: BEEF
This is when we start getting to grips with the recipe cards. BEEF BURGERS made fresh are simple and effective. The children will have fresh minced beef with less than 10% fat , raw onion, eggs and seasonings . We will work together weighing out the ingredients and produce 1/4lb beef burgers for dinner.

Week 3: GRAIN
Fresh PIZZA can be very tasty and making a dough mix from a few ingredients can be lots of fun. A simple tomato sauce and some tasty toppings to finish it off completes a simple and easy dinner for all to enjoy.

Week 4: PORK
Minced pork and grated apple compliment each other very well, the PORK SAUSAGES we make in this class will contain quality mince pork and nothing else except the apple and seasoning, making these a wholesome and healthier option than some pre packed options.

Week 5: FISH
Fish contain excellent oils for our body and simple FISH CAKES with spring onions are a great and tasty way of eating them. With just a few ingredients these can be put together very easily.

Week 6: CHICKEN
Probably one of the easiest meats children will eat! the children will make CHICKEN NUGGETS made from real piece's of chicken breast coated with bread crumbs. Full of protein that children require. Without all the additives and processing.
